LOCATION: US Remote (east coast preferred)
Context Travel is a remote team and has a preference to hire in the following states: CO, CT, DE, DC, FL, IL, ME, MA, NJ, NY, NC, PA. While we are open to hiring outside of these states, you must be located near a major metropolitan area. JOB DESCRIPTION
In our quest to broadly share these experiences, our sales team is looking for a self-motivated, outgoing individual with an interest in outbound/inbound sales and account management. This position will allow you to become fully immersed in business development with travel agencies and other partners in the travel industry. Strong public speaking, writing, administrative, CRM, and presentation skills will be key to success. We are looking for someone with a “hunter mentality” who enjoys being measured against numbers and is eager to launch or continue their career in the Travel industry.
We are seeking a Business Development Associate/Representative to help us manage our sales processes and travel advisor communications with the goal to convert and nurture the Travel Advisor channel and high potential accounts. In this role, you will be responsible for sales pipeline management (update deals, follow up), agency and partner account updates/onboarding, advisor commission payments and inbox, travel conference planning & attendance, sales inquiry inbox and contributions to sales strategy. Working closely with our Sales Managers, you will collaborate on training and pitching Context, taking partner calls, hosting agency webinars, managing agency lists, building content for the Advisor Toolkit and responding timely to advisor commission inquiries. You will also focus on building out emails and sequences for the team to achieve bookings growth through Travel Advisor acquisition and retention. Our success will be measured by tracking Travel Advisor engagement and growth within the sales channel and your target accounts. As a part of the Commercial Team at Context, you’ll participate in weekly commercial strategy meetings focused on both sales and marketing and can expect to collaborate with internal regional teams and product development. You will report to the Director of Sales.
This position is remote, with some travel required. The sales team is based between PA, CLT/NY, ND and IN.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily emails, inquiries, calls and monthly webinars
- Supporting & managing advisor commission payments in collaboration with Sales & Finance
- Schedule and lead meetings with advisors and partners in support of sales strategy
- Create, manage and send 1:1 sequence automations
- Proof and create content for partner websites (Virtuoso, Signature, etc) and Advisor Toolkit
- Account management and organization of sales CRM and Ops platform
- Drive new client growth by building key account relationships and expanding on existing
- Learn and maintain understanding of travel industry’s competitive landscape
- Collaborate with client service teams to ensure seamless transition from prospect to repeat
- Create conference workflows, follow up campaigns and support leadership attended events
- Proactively seek ways to promote Context products and services
- Monitor, update, and iterate on current Hubspot workflows
- Update our travel advisor portal with inspired tour itineraries, FAQ’s, etc.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 2 - 4 years experience in a sales role (industry experience a plus)
- Excitement to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ready to be proactive and self-motivated
- Quick learner with new systems and technology in support of sales process and payments
- Desire to build relationships with people and be part of a tight-knit team
- Mastery at connecting with people and quick at problem solving
- Comfortable speaking in public, on Zoom (camera) and networking/socializing solo at events
- Ability to balance being an advocate for advisors as well as for our company
- CRM experience in Hubspot or other platforms in previous role
- Positive attitude and see goals and numbers as motivation, not a threat
- Effective and experienced working in a remote environment
- Ability to plan and coordinate business travel within budget
- Your friends would describe you as confident, detail-oriented, and a people-person
