Context is looking for a Client Services Associate based in Philadelphia. This person will be responsible for all first tier customer service at our company headquarters.

 

This is a full time entry level position with significant day to day interactions with clients, travel agents, partners and our client management team. The position will be responsible for handling all first tier communications through both phone and email interactions, as well as various general office administration duties that support staff across all Context cities, and specifically the corporate office headquarters in Philadelphia. The position reports to the the Client Services director.

But, above all, you are the ultimate people person who thrives in verbal and written communication and has excellent organizational, time-management, and administrative skills to ensure that the work gets done well and efficiently.

 

This position also requires versatility—you must be tech savvy and be able to work collaboratively with your colleagues both in the Philadelphia office and globally.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor degree in the liberal arts.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years office experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years front-line customer service experience, such as in a restaurant or shop and proven ability and confidence in customer service by phone.
  • Work experience in the cultural sector is very helpful.
  • A love of travel and talking about travel is required.
  • High computer proficiency, including the Google for Business suite, and virtual communication applications such as Slack and Skype is required. We are a Mac-based company.
  • Ability to work efficiently and multitask in a fast-paced, international, tech-reliant environment is essential.
  • A personal dedication to independent and sustainable travel.
  • A passion for learning about world culture.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Global client management:

  • First-tier customer service: Answering phone calls and emails from customers and helping them choose walking seminars. Knowing how to find out answers to complicated questions. Trip planning.
  • Travel agents – assisting with inquiries and bookings.
  • Order processing
  • Assisting with booking requests from GDSes (global distribution systems)
  • Handling emergency phone calls during office hours.
  • General office support to assist staff of 10 full time people.

 

General duties:

  • participate in company-wide and team specific meetings
  • handling emergency phone calls regularly during office hours, and on occasional weeknights and weekends
  • general office support when necessary during peak season
